Privacy policy
This policy explains how we handle information under the Australian Privacy Principles (Privacy Act 1988). It will be expanded as we add features.
What we publish
Registration data from the Tax Practitioners Board public register: name, trading name, agent type, registration number, status, registration and expiry dates, and business suburb and postcode. For companies and partnerships we also show the street address from the register. For individual agents we show suburb and postcode only.
Our registration check also shows registrations that the TPB register file lists as not current (for example “Unregistered – Terminated”), so consumers can avoid unregistered preparers. These appear only in check results, never as directory pages. Agents who have not published a business address on the register are likewise shown only in check results.
Where an agent’s full name and postcode exactly match one entry in ASIC’s public registered auditor, SMSF auditor or liquidator datasets, we show that ASIC registration on the listing.
Claims
When you claim a listing we store your registration number, name, role, business email, phone, website and any document you upload, only to verify and manage the listing. Documents are deleted after 120 days. We do not sell personal information.
Quote requests
When you request a quote we collect the service you need, your description, suburb, state, name, email and (optionally) phone. We use them only to handle your request: we store them for up to 12 months and share them with up to 3 registered practices in your state that have claimed their listing and opted in to receive requests. We may email you about your request. We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing.
Correction and removal requests
Registration facts come from the TPB register; if they are wrong, please update them with the TPB and our next refresh will pick up the change. To ask us to correct or remove your listing (for example, if you are a sole trader and don’t want to be listed), email [email protected] with your registration number and the page address. We aim to act within 5 business days. A removed registration stays off the site on future refreshes.
Security checks and email
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated abuse. We send email only to people who start a claim or a quote request, about that claim or request.
